About Hydra Hacks
Hydra Hacks is the West Coast's largest hackathon for marginalized genders. Founded by Rebecca Wang in 2020, our mission is to provide a safe and inclusive space for underrepresented groups to learn, collaborate, and innovate. Our team is passionate about creating opportunities for individuals who have been historically excluded from the tech industry. We believe that everyone deserves a chance to contribute their unique perspectives and talents to the tech community. Join us at Hydra Hacks and be a part of the change.
Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion
Our Mission
At Hydra Hacks, we believe that diversity and inclusion are essential to innovation. We are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for individuals of all backgrounds, including but not limited to those who identify as women, non-binary, LGBTQIA+, persons with disabilities, and people of color. We strive to ensure that everyone feels valued and heard, and that their contributions are recognized and celebrated.
Our Vision
Our vision is to build a more equitable tech industry by empowering underrepresented groups to become leaders in their fields. We believe that by providing opportunities for individuals to learn and grow, we can create a more diverse and inclusive community. Our goal is to inspire the next generation of innovators and change-makers, and to create a world where everyone has the chance to make a difference.
